Depeche Mode is bringing their live magic to the silver screen with an upcoming feature film, Depeche Mode: M, a cinematic retelling of their unforgettable performances in Buenos Aires during the Memento Mori World Tour.
The film, directed by award-winning filmmaker Fernando Frias, highlights the band’s electrifying shows at Estadio Monumental in November 2023. Combining powerful live footage with artistic interludes and rare archival material, Depeche Mode: M delves into the themes of mortality and remembrance explored in the Memento Mori album, drawing poignant parallels with Argentina’s cultural reflections on life, death, and memory.

Frias, widely acclaimed for his 2020 film I’m No Longer Here, which won ten Ariel Awards including Best Picture and Best Director, brings a uniquely emotional and visual depth to the project. The film was also Mexico’s official submission to the 2021 Academy Awards, earning a spot on the shortlist for Best International Feature.
Slated for a theatrical release in summer 2025, Depeche Mode: M is more than a concert film — it’s a moving cinematic experience that captures the enduring legacy of one of music’s most influential bands.
