Cincinnati Reds fans are seeing their patience pay off as the organization’s top prospects continue to climb in MLB Pipeline’s latest rankings. While stars like Elly De La Cruz and Tyler Stephenson have already made their mark in the majors, it’s the younger talent waiting in the wings that has fans buzzing with excitement.
In the updated top-100 rankings, six Reds prospects have earned spots, signaling the bright future ahead for Cincinnati. Leading the charge is Chase Burns, who has jumped 15 spots to No. 11. Alongside him are Rhett Lowder (21), Sal Stewart (70), Cam Collier (75), Edwin Arroyo (76), and Chase Petty (90).
Burns’ rise in the rankings is a direct result of his stellar performance to start the 2025 season. After dominating at High-A Dayton, the first-round draft pick was promoted to Double-A Chattanooga, where he posted a 2-2 record, a 2.45 ERA, and 41 strikeouts in just six starts.

Lowder, who had been sidelined with an elbow injury, made a successful return with two rehab starts, allowing just one run in six innings. With Cincinnati’s pitching staff facing a number of injuries, Lowder’s return is a welcome addition.
Despite being sidelined with injuries, both Collier and Arroyo have made impressive jumps in the rankings. Collier, recovering from a thumb injury, and Arroyo, who’s played only 21 games this season, each climbed 16 spots, showcasing their continued potential.
Stewart has been another standout. At Double-A Chattanooga, the infielder is slashing .296/.370/.451 with an .821 OPS and 17 RBIs, showing he’s ready to make an impact at the next level.
Petty, though struggling at the big-league level, has shown his promise in the minors with a 2.79 ERA in six starts at Triple-A Louisville. His time in the majors was a learning experience, and the right-hander remains a key piece in the Reds’ future.
While many of these prospects are still in development, the Reds are growing more optimistic about their farm system. With the team’s offense struggling early in the 2025 season, fans are hopeful that some of these rising stars like Stewart or Collier could provide the boost the lineup needs in the near future. However, as Petty’s experience showed, the road to the majors requires time and patience
