We Can’t Keep Him Down Much Longer: Rangers’ Hottest Bat Set for Major League Return by June 1

Red-Hot Rangers Prospect Justin Foscue Deserves Permanent Promotion by June 1

The Texas Rangers may be off to a rocky start in 2025, but their eyes remain fixed on long-term success. As they navigate injuries and inconsistencies at key positions, one answer may already be within their system: Justin Foscue.

Foscue, a talented infielder who made a brief MLB debut earlier this season, continues to light it up in Triple-A with the Round Rock Express. In his short time with the Rangers, he posted a strong .314/.385/.486 slash line across 11 games, including a pair of doubles and a home run. Despite those numbers, he was optioned back down—largely due to roster congestion. But his bat hasn’t cooled since.

Through early May, Foscue is among the most consistent hitters in the Rangers’ farm system, and with Texas searching for more offense at second base and DH, the 25-year-old might just be the spark they need.

Foscue’s profile—marked by excellent plate discipline, gap-to-gap power, and a low strikeout rate—makes him a near-ideal fit for a team trying to balance veteran experience with youth. While his glove may not match the elite standards of the league’s top defenders, his offensive upside makes that a worthwhile trade-off.

The Rangers front office knows it can’t afford to waste a bat this hot, especially with the team treading water in the AL West standings. Injuries to key contributors and struggles from regulars have left a void that Foscue could easily fill.

With the calendar soon flipping to June, the call is becoming clearer: Justin Foscue deserves to be back in Arlington—and to stay there.

If Texas truly believes in building sustainable success through a mix of established stars and homegrown talent, this is the kind of move that aligns perfectly with that vision. By giving Foscue a permanent spot on the roster, they reinforce their commitment to a stronger, more balanced future.

June 1 should mark the beginning of Foscue’s full-time MLB journey—and the Rangers’ next step toward unlocking their full potential.
