In Greece, Rafael Nadal was recently seen spending quality time with his son by giving Rafa Jr. a piggyback ride. In preparation for his comeback to tennis at the Nordea Open, the Spaniard has been training in Sani, Greece.

His final match was in the opening round of the 2024 French Open, where he was defeated by eventual winner Alexander Zverev. After quitting the game after the 2024 Brisbane International, the Spaniard eventually returned during the clay season, competing in the Barcelona Open, Madrid Open, and Italian Open prior to Roland Garros.

In order to recuperate for the clay-court Olympics in Paris, he skipped the grass season. He has been training at the Rafa Nadal Tennis Center, Sani Resort, in Greece in advance of his homecoming.
